The 2023 Appalachian Clean Energy CLE workshop will provide attorneys and other attendees with knowledge on clean energy issues facing North Carolina, innovative energy policy and planning for the state, and federal climate change reporting requirements.

6 General Hours NC CLE 

Objectives

  1. Provide attendees an annual update on regulatory and legislative developments impacting clean energy in North Carolina.
  2. Provide attendees current information and new knowledge that will be useful in the next year on both energy efficiency, renewable energy issues, and energy market reform.

Critical Topics to be Addressed Include:

  • NC Regulatory/Legislative Update: Timely discussions on the status of the Carbon Plan Integrated Resource Plan, rate cases, avoided costs, and other significant energy policy topics
  • Net Metering and Customer-Sited Storage: The latest on net metering rule changes and storage programs
  • The Energy Market Spectrum: From RTO to performance-based ratemaking
  • EV Market and Charging Infrastructure
  • Solar Energy Site Decommissioning: Defining solar end-of-life standards for North Carolina communities
  • Top of the Docket, North Carolina Utility Commissioners’ Q&A
