Weatherization & Indoor Environmental Quality

IAQ measurementProgram Staff: Dr. Susan Doll

The Energy Center Staff and the Department of Technology and Environmental Design have launched a project to study energy efficiency and indoor environmental quality in weatherized homes throughout North Carolina. ASU researchers have teamed up with WAMY to install real-time air sampling monitors in houses, before and after weatherization. These monitors measure changes in pollutant and particulate levels in homes after under-going heating system improvements and envelope revamping. Testing will be on-going throughout the winter months.
